Harry Bertoia’s Sounding Sculptures

The Edwards Collective is made up of students with wildly diverse interests. For our 2016-17 orientation, we wanted to engage with art that could tap into a wide range of passions, so we visited the Museum of Arts and Design for a hands-on tour of Harry Bertoia’s Sounding Sculptures. Bertoia intended for his works to be touched: for us, it was a encounter with art that was not only visual, but auditory and tactile.
