Whitney museum trip

On the final weekend of Intersession, we were lucky enough to break out of the Orange Bubble and see the temporary exhibit DREAMLANDS: IMMERSIVE CINEMA AND ART, 1905–2016 at the Whitney Museum. We first stopped at the Chelsea Market for some delicious burgers and fried Oreos, and then we made our way to the exhibit, where the installations ranged from short narrative films to a walk-in cavern with frogs plastered to the ceiling. All in all, the trip was a great opportunity to learn about the history of immersive art and to challenge, ultimately, what can be art at all.
